37th Maine ASTA Summer Conference
The Southern Maine String Academy at the University of Southern Maine offers an exciting week of string instrument study for
students and adults alike. This year marks the 37th Maine ASTA Summer Conference, continuing its commitment to quality string
education.
Our flexible, non-competitive program offers three levels of instruction for students on all string instruments.
In addition to orchestra, all students play in a chamber music ensemble and sing in a choir. Each day has music, laughter
and fun. Students may live in the dorm or commute from home. Scholarships are available, and the forms are on the website.
The due date for scholarship applications is June 1, 2007.
Please contact Anne Wilkinson, Director at barrett2@adelphia.net for more information, and check out the String Academy website. http://www.usm.maine.edu/summer/special/youth/sacademy
